The Doctoral Thesis Committee is the EsDUVa's collegiate body in charge of monitoring the quality of doctoral theses. Among other functions, they authorise the defence of doctoral theses and propose to the rector the approval of the doctoral thesis examination board in accordance with the applicable rules.
Its members are convened at least two days in advance and meet periodically. The dates of their meetings are published on the EsDUVA website.
At each meeting, the doctoral theses that apply for admission to be defended are supervised at least three teaching days before each scheduled meeting. For the purposes of the SIGMA online application, theses whose processing status is "ED" are revised at least three teaching days before each scheduled meeting.
