The University of Valladolid annually announces the Outstanding Doctorate Award to recognise those theses which evidence the highest scientific quality among those defended in the academic year prior to the announcement and which have achieved the Cum Laude mention.
- To have defended the doctoral thesis during the academic year prior to the annual award call.
- To have obtained the Cum Laude mention.
- The average mark awarded by the members of the thesis examination board must be equal to or higher than nine points.
With the 2023 call for applications having been published on 9 November 2023 on the UVa's Sede Electrónica (electronic office): https://sede.uva.es (Boards / Students), the application deadline commenced at 9 a.m. on the day following its publication and ended on 14 December at 2 p.m. (local time in both cases).
The following are eligible to participate in this call:
- Theses defended between 1 October 2022 and 30 September 2023 (academic year 2022-2023).
- In addition, theses defended in the mathematics grouping between 1 October 2021 and 30 September 2022 (academic year 2021-2022).
Theses must have obtained the "Cum Laude" mention and the average score awarded by the members of the thesis examination board must be equal to or higher than nine points.
